The Warxagay

The Warxagay is a land of tall trees and shallow waters; a mix between a drowned jungle and a swamp. The peoples of the Warxagay have lived in tree houses over the swamps for as long as anyone can remember, and while they were purportedly part of Coscroa’s empire, they were far enough from the empire’s center that they were mostly left alone as long as they paid their taxes.

When Lypu’s armies reached the Warxagay took control of the lands around the Warxagay and called the swamp conquered without actually venturing very far in. Unfortunately, it didn’t matter to the high priests of Roa when they called on their goddess to blight the areas that Lypu had “conquered” and the Warxagay was blighted along with the rest. The peoples of the Warxagay became Tripkee, frog-like people with much shorter lifespans than they had previously had, and nearly all of their of people beyond the age of sixty died in the instant of the change, taking with them much knowledge that had not been written down.
